VAV Calibration
Setpoint verification, min/max flow calibration, and controls validation for VAV terminals.
A VAV box controls to the airflow its controller believes it is delivering. If that reading is wrong, the zone is wrong. Calibration makes the reading match the air.
What we do on site
- Measure the actual airflow from each VAV terminal and compare it with the controller or BMS reading.
- Correct the flow coefficients so the reading matches the measured airflow.
- Verify minimum and maximum setpoints against the design.
- Check damper and actuator travel and response to the control signal.
When it’s needed
- New VAV installations.
- Fit-outs that add, move or re-duct VAV boxes.
- BMS upgrades and controller replacements.
- Zones that will not hold temperature.
What you receive
A schedule for each VAV terminal showing design and measured minimum and maximum airflows and the final calibration.
